How to Join

Introduction

Welcome to the Thenga SMP community! Joining our server is a simple process that requires a few steps to ensure the best experience. The server runs on Purpur , which allows to have a better-optimized and enhanced vanilla Minecraft experience. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know.

1 Step 1: Install the Fabric Loader

The first step is to install the Fabric mod loader. This is the foundation for running all the mods on required (and optional) for best experience.

Head over to the official Fabric website and download the installer for your operating system.
Run the installer and make sure to select the correct Minecraft version.
Launch Minecraft from the official launcher at least once with the new Fabric profile to generate all the necessary files.
If you are using other launchers, please contact admin for instructions.

2 Step 2: Install Required Mods

To connect to the server, you will need to download and install a few essential mods. Most of these mods improve performance and are necessary for a smooth experience. You'll need the following:

Fabric API : The Fabric API is a required dependency for most Fabric mods and is essential for our modpack to function correctly.
Simple Voice Chat : We use the Simple Voice Chat mod to allow proximity-based voice chat within the game.
You can also install performance mods like Sodium along with it. Or install the performance modpacks as mentioned below.

Optional: Enhance Your Experience

For an even better experience, we highly recommend a couple of optional additions.

Optimization Modpacks

To greatly improve your game's performance and frame rate, we recommend using a pre-made optimization modpack. You can choose between two popular options:

Fabulously Optimized : This modpack is a comprehensive replacement for OptiFine, offering not only performance boosts but also features like dynamic lights and zoom. It's a great choice if you want a complete, ready-to-go experience.
Simply Optimized : Recommended for potato PCs. As the name suggests, this modpack focuses purely on maximum performance. It includes fewer quality-of-life and visual features, making it ideal if your only goal is to achieve the highest possible frame rate.

Extend Your View Distance with Bobby Mod

For the best experience, we strongly recommend installing the Bobby mod . The Bobby mod allows you to see chunks beyond the server's view distance by caching them on your computer. This means you can enjoy a far greater render distance without straining the server, making for a much more immersive and visually expansive experience, especially for builders and explorers.

3 Step 3: Connect to the Server

With everything installed, launch Minecraft using your Fabric profile. Once in the main menu, go to Multiplayer and click Add Server.

Fill in the details:

Server Name: Thenga SMP
Server Address: play.thenga.fun
